In Brief:
Marbug virus and Ebola virus are both very much related to each other in that they cause a hemorrhagic fever. The way that people can get either Marbug or Ebola viruses is by contact with an infected animal who has them. This illness is not really all that common in the US, but has been known to take place in Africa most frequently. Research has found that people living in Africa seem to contract these viruses from chimpanzees, and monkeys. The Marbug virus and Ebola virus can cause many complications, and if the person that has them is going to survive these illnesses, the recovery is long and the affected person may never be as healthy again.
